If you filed a Demurrer to the Complaint, there are two kinds of responses you would get. If the main one is their Opposition to the Demurrer, to which you would file a Reply. The second is the landlord's attempt to speed things along by asking the judge to shorten the time for hearing on the demurrer from a month away to either immediately or within a week or so.
