Just in case you are in an emergency situation, there is a special process.

There is a Hotline you can call to talk to the lawyer at $5/minute, paid in advance by credit or debit card. If you need the information right away, and only need to talk for a few minutes, this may be your best choice to avoid a panic situation from getting worse. This can be where your landlord is giving you immediate deadlines, or your landlord is trying to physically force you out, one way or the other, or sending in people to your place without your permission. The Hotline number is: (888)693-8437 - 1 - 0472 5588

If you've just gotten the Sheriff's Notice to Vacate, you need to jump on this right away. The landlord has taken your default [i.e., you already lost the case], and is taking the final steps. It's not over. You need to un-lose. There is a process to stop the lockout, undo the judgment, and put you back on track.
