California Courts — Self-Help Forms
The California Courts website provides all official court forms for free. If you're representing yourself in an eviction case or filing a small claims action against your landlord, this is where you get the forms.
Key Forms for Tenants
UD-105 — Answer to Unlawful Detainer — This is the form you file to respond to an eviction lawsuit. You generally have 5 days to file this after being served. Don't miss the deadline.
SC-100 — Small Claims Complaint — Use this to sue your landlord for security deposit theft, habitability issues, or other damages up to $12,500.
UD-150 — Stipulation for Entry of Judgment — A settlement agreement form used when you and the landlord reach a deal.
MC-030 — Declaration — A general form used to submit written testimony under penalty of perjury. Useful for motions and hearings.
