California Tenant Law provides experienced legal representation for tenants throughout San Luis Obispo County and California’s Central Coast. Founded by Kenneth H. Carlson, J.D. (CA State Bar #93602) in 1980, our practice exclusively represents tenants facing eviction, security deposit disputes, habitability issues, and landlord harassment.
Our Central Coast office serves tenants in San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles, Atascadero, Morro Bay, and all SLO County communities. Whether you’re facing an urgent eviction notice or need guidance on your rights as a California tenant, we provide accessible, affordable legal expertise backed by over four decades of California tenant law experience.
Samara Weiner brings extensive litigation experience to CalTenantLaw and the Central Coast community. Ms. Weiner honed her skills as former In-House Counsel for major California brands including POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds, FIJI Water, JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, Landmark Winery, and Paramount Citrus.
Her practice has always focused on consumer protection—whether ensuring products are labeled and advertised correctly, or protecting tenants’ rights by holding landlords and large property management corporations accountable. Ms. Weiner has filed cases and appeared before judges in every county in California, but now resides in San Luis Obispo County, focusing on the Central Coast region. In her free time, Samara enjoys roaming the outdoors with her family and five adventure cats.
Our San Luis Obispo County office represents tenants in: San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Nipomo, Santa Maria, Paso Robles, Atascadero, Templeton, San Miguel, Morro Bay, Los Osos, Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, Avila Beach, Shell Beach, and all San Luis Obispo County communities.
